Artwork: Honoring All Our Relations

For the end of the fourth moon cycle I present “Honoring All Our Relations”, the fourth piece from the Steppingstone Series of my Heritage Mandala.

About 90,000 years ago, we humans “saw” our interconnectedness with all of life. We began to create ritual and representations of animals who gave of themselves so that we could have life. This “Give-Away” is a sacred blessing.

The headdress and totem is part of a sacred dance for Antelope,one of the principle sources of food in Central Africa those many years ago. Soon our ancestors would follow the heard to find new environs requiring adaptation.

Witness & Revelation

Is the sacred inherent in the act of being a witness? If you are truthful in examining what you have witnessed, what is revealed?

My indigenous teachers cautioned me about those who have the “missionary zeal”. Thus, I shy away from rules, dogma, and what is supposed to be. I tell my students to live their own truth.

It is the discerning ability to trust in yourself (through much practice and discipline) that determines what kind of a seer you will become.

Threshold

How much are you willing to trust your visions, your inner sight, your body knowing? Are you ready to jump into the dark abyss that is the void of creativity? Are you ready to cross that threshold? Ask you spirit and see what it tells you.

Bliss

One of the principal reasons for disciplined meditation practice (entering into the Stillness) is so we may experience our interconnectedness. This is sometimes called the Oneness.

It is essentially a state of Bliss because we not only realize: (1) that we are made from Love; but also our heightened awareness (2) achieves the ability to understand our perfection.

Holding onto that exquisite and sublime experience is dependent on how much we learn to Trust what we have seen.

A Seer

A Seer is an extraordinary woman. She is a visionary. She is a lucid “dreamer”. She has body knowing which enables her to be an oracle. She knows which path to take because she “sees” what lies ahead.

The 13 Feminine Truths workshop is a place where the truth of the feminine–the strong and powerful intuitive, introspective, impressions, visions, and body awareness that exists in the non-ordinary reality–is validated and placed into context within our daily lives.

If we learn to pay attention and become discerning “Seers”, we may use this knowledge to help us choose our Paths With Heart.
